Brisbane Lions Players 2023 Grand Final

Brisbane Lions Unchanged for AFL Grand Final

Squad Remains the Same as Semi-Final

No Surprises in Lions' Team Selection

The Brisbane Lions will head into Saturday's AFL Grand Final against Collingwood unchanged. The Club will back the same team which saw off Geelong in last week's preliminary final.

Lions coach Chris Fagan has confirmed that there will be no changes to his starting lineup or interchange bench for the premiership decider. This means that Hugh McCluggage and Joe Daniher will again be the key forwards, while Jarrod Berry and Eric Hipwood will start in the midfield.

Fagan said that he was confident in the team he had selected. "We've got a great group of players who have worked incredibly hard all year," he said. "They deserve to run out on Grand Final day and give it their all."

Collingwood Favorite, But Lions Ready to Fight

Collingwood will go into the Grand Final as favorite, having won 14 of their 23 matches this season. However, the Lions have shown that they are capable of beating any team on their day, and they will be determined to prove that they are not just making up the numbers.

The Grand Final will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Saturday, September 24. The first bounce is scheduled for 2:30pm AEST.

Lions Will Not Fade Away After GF Devastation

The Brisbane Lions were left shattered after losing the 2023 AFL Grand Final to Collingwood. But they are determined to come back stronger next season.

Lions coach Chris Fagan said that the team was "hurting" after the loss. But he said that they would use the disappointment as motivation to improve.

"We're not going to fade away," Fagan said. "We're going to come back stronger and we're going to be a force to be reckoned with in 2024."

The Lions have already made some moves to strengthen their squad for next season. They have signed free agent Jack Payne from Melbourne and they have also traded for Pat Lipinski from the Western Bulldogs.

With a young and talented group of players, the Lions are confident that they can challenge for the premiership again next year.
